publication interval (P2896) for data set (Q1172284) edit

I'm working on datasets and developing an Infobox for the French wikipedia (see w:fr:Modèle:Infobox Jeu de données). Datasets are publications and they are released every day, every week, every month or every year. Would it be possible to make it possible to use publication interval (P2896) for objects of class data set (Q1172284) ? --PAC2 (talk) 21:34, 9 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

publication interval (P2896) of 2 weeks (biweekly) edit

I am creating an item for a biweekly newspaper. I tried to input a publication interval of 2 weeks but it generates a range constraint issue. The same happens when I try to input 14 days. It does not happen when you input 0.5 month, even though that is actually longer than 2 weeks. How can I get a publication interval of biweekly, 2 weeks, or 14 days to be accepted?  – The preceding unsigned comment was added by Mgrenci (talk • contribs).

Best way to handle irregular intervals? edit

I'm wondering how to use this property on items that have slightly irregular publication intervals. The Birmingham News (Q7718111) is published every Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday, which can't be expressed with a simple number. Publishing 3 times a week is on average the same as publishing every 2 1/3 days, so I've set its publication interval to "2.333333 day" for now, but this doesn't feel like a super satisfactory solution. Thoughts? IagoQnsi (talk) 20:53, 17 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

@IagoQnsi day of regular release (P6437) would seem to be the best we have for that case and similar where there is a regular but uneven interval. It wouldn't work where there is no regular schedule. Perhaps we need an item for "publication with no schedule" or something for that? Thryduulf (talk) 20:41, 6 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Most daily newspapers in Germany are irregular, too, since they aren't published on Sundays and public holidays. So "workday" would be a good interval for those, but it's not in the description of this property. --Anvilaquarius (talk) 18:09, 15 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

use for TV-shows or radio programs edit

Why is this property limited to print publications? The same concept applies to regularly aired TV-shows and radio programs. Is there a separate property for those? If yes, there should be a link to it from this property.-- Tdombos (talk) 10:59, 9 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
