DiscussionEdit

ValidationEdit

Valid IDs with fewer than 7 digits exist; see, for example, 392741 & 1972. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 18:50, 5 August 2016 (UTC)

I changed the format constraints --Pasleim (talk) 11:57, 22 August 2016 (UTC)
I disagree with this. The 7-digit form is 2392741 for 392741 and 2001972 for 1972. sstr in url means search string and can be also non-numeric, like http://ssd.jpl.nasa.gov/sbdb.cgi?sstr=2012%20SQ31 and http://ssd.jpl.nasa.gov/sbdb.cgi?sstr=2009%20YS20 (both lead to the same page). The only way to have unique and single value is to use 7 digit SPK-ID values from SSD pages. --Lockal (talk) 16:34, 18 February 2017 (UTC)

Change in urlEdit

The JPL has announced an upcoming change in its url [1]. --Romulanus (talk) 13:05, 23 May 2019 (UTC)
