How to deal a person name with more than 5 words? edit

I wonder how to deal with the name of a person has more than 5 words. For example,

  • Trần Xuân Soạn, the middle name will be "Xuân"
  • Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, the middle name will be "Thị"
  • Nguyen Thi Minh Hong Khai, the middle name will be ???

@Mxn: do you have an answer? @Alphama: is it only a theoretical question or could you point to a real example on Wikidata? Pamputt (talk) 21:36, 8 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Alphama, Pamputt: Nam Em (Q58888056) (born Nguyễn Thị Lệ Nam Em) is a very rare example of a Vietnamese person with five names. In this case, Thị (Q2654762) is most likely the middle name, given that it is one of the most common female middle names. We can't quite rule out the possibility that someone else might have a double family name, middle name, and two given names, but I'd imagine that to be an even rarer situation. – Minh Nguyễn 💬 22:37, 8 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
Long names in Vietnamese are not too rare now, we should be ready to handle these cases. In the case of 5 names, Nguyen Thi Minh Hong Khai, I wonder we should take "Thi" or "Thi Minh Hong" to be the middle name?  A l p h a m a   02:02, 24 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

single-value constraint edit

Hello. Vietnamese Buddhist monks have a name at birth and a religious name, generally with different middle names. There are probably other cases of people with several middle names (because they use diferent names over the course of their life), so I think the "single-value constraint" should be dropped. BrightRaven (talk) 11:16, 23 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Or maybe allow to use the value with a qualifier when there are several values, such as applies to part (P518) (or another one). Pamputt (talk) 15:34, 23 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
@BrightRaven @Pamputt: I added separators to the constraint so you can suppress the warning by adding start time (P580) and end time (P582) qualifiers. Minh Nguyễn 💬 21:34, 7 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
