I have switched the en-label from ”urban area in Sweden” to ”urban area in Nordic countries”. For Sweden there’s the item urban area in Sweden (Q12813115) which is a subclass of this one. –Kooma (talk) 06:56, 16 August 2016 (UTC)

- It should not be any "Subclass" for Nordic "urban area". "Tettsted" (norwegian) or "tättort" (swedish) and "byområde" (danish) means exactly the same as "urban area" in English. The subclass is a misunderstanding of the statistic concept! Those "subclass" should be merged in "urban area". Krg (talk) 23:32, 7 February 2019 (UTC)
- Yes they mean, but the Nordic definition of the term is remarkably different from the general definition. So thats why "Nordic urban area" should be a subclass of "urban area", and if there are separate articles about urban areas in specific Nordic countries, they should be subclass of the former one, like it is now. - Which items do you suggest to be merged? urban area in Sweden (Q12813115), urban area in Finland (Q61492541), urban area in Norway (Q15092344) and urban area in Denmark (Q12304704) all have Wikipedia sitelinks, so they can’t be merged to this item. –Kooma (talk) 12:36, 23 January 2021 (UTC)
- And also: All the members of this item (tätort/taajama/tettsted/etc) are, naturally, urban areas, but all urban areas are not members of this item (Nordic urban areas). This is why this item and the item urban area (Q702492) should not be merged.
