zh:工布江达镇 is the name of a town, and therefore does not correspond to Kongpo, which is the name of an ancient region of Tibet. The recent changes by Popolon are not corresponding to the item, and should be reversed. --Rédacteur Tibet (talk) 10:03, 23 September 2015 (UTC)

In english : Gongbo is a region in Gongbo'gyamda County, Nyingchi Prefecture This is execlty the same meaning than in chinese Gonbo (工布江达镇) is a town == a region in asian vision of subdivision, included in en:Gongbo'gyamda County (zh:工布江达县), you can verify on every wiki, you will find the same answer...Popolon (talk) 20:52, 23 September 2015 (UTC)

A city is not a region. zh:工布江达镇 refer to a city, with a precise coordinate location, whereas a region has no such precise location. In addition, en:Kongpo refer to an ancient region, which is part of today Gongbo'gyamda County. In conclusion, we have 2 different items. --Rédacteur Tibet (talk) 10:29, 24 September 2015 (UTC)

You are totally wrong, a city in most east-Asian countries (Siberian Russia areas, Mongolia, China, Japan, Korea...) are a region that go far away from the main urban area of the region, in most case you have sub-cities, sub-districts, etc... you can look at every cities of this countries and their map on en:OpenStreetMap if you need to learn how is East-Asian geography administration. The fact that this was didn't started yesterday does not mean that this is not the same. The fact is that the name didn't change and nor the location. Both your "different" cities/region are in the same district?. Please don't try to disorganize Wikipedia one more time.Popolon (talk) 10:28, 26 September 2015 (UTC)

IMHO, there is a difference between the two items. en:Kongpo (工布/贡布 or 工布地区/贡布地区 in Chinese) is a historical/cultural region in the area of the upper Nyang River.[1,2] Since it is a historical region that has been existed for hundreds of years, it does not have a well defined boundary. Roughly speaking, not only the modern Gongbo'gyamda County (工布江达县), but also parts of modern Mainling County (米林县) and Bayi District (or Nyingchi County, 巴宜区/林芝县) are included in this region.[2] However, zh:工布江达镇 is a modern administrative unit (more specifically a township) inside Gongbo'gyamda County (工布江达县).

Besides, there is a historial administrative unit "工布江达宗" (Gongbo'gyamda Dzong) in Tibetan history, which is one of the fours parts of the historical Kongpo region. The location of this region is roughly the modern Gongbo'gyamda County.[2,3]

P.S. Now there is no article in Chinese Wikipedia which describes the Kongpo region, and I think I'm gonna create the article in a few days.
