Hi. See that you have been creating cats with Petscan, though numbers of these are duplicates. Really worthwhile if you have a list of categories that you look to match them with what is existing at Commons prior to running them through the creation process.

I also dispute that for something like "Category:Straits of Poland" that the topic is "body of water', similarly that category: of a football club has topic "american football". Each of those either have no topic, or it would be the item for the club itself IMNSHO.

The problem here is that I use a high-level cat and then do 6 levels of subcats.

Actually, the problem is that you are creating duplicates; and I think that indicates that 6 levels of subcats isn't the right approach. Time to refine your approach.
