Hello! Please explain to me how a football stadium is different from a rugby one? I believe that the difference is the same as between a men's football stadium and a women's football stadium, that is, it is not significant.

There are two types of football stadiums: with athletic tracks (like Stade de France (Q13205)) and without them (like Wembley Stadium (Q128468)). We can play association football (Q2736), rugby union (Q5849), rugby league (Q10962), women's association football (Q606060), women's rugby league (Q3452887), Women's rugby union (Q3452920) at every of them. It may even be difficult to find a football stadium where rugby has never been played and vice versa. So categories should be named like Stadiums where rugby has ever been played but it's bad idea for main classification of Wikidata item. Moreover, it should be stated in sport (P641) field. We also have special categories such as Category:Association football players (Q7217464) or Category:Rugby footballers (Q7042506) but we do not use instance of (P31) for association football player (Q937857) or rugby player (Q13415036). And for Category:Rugby union stadiums (Q23365958) we can use category combines topics (P971) (stadium type + sport played)

I understand you point of view but I'm not fully convinced by your arguments (and to be honest football and rugby are not my favorite areas). Lets continue this discussion on Wikidata talk:WikiProject Association football where we could have more opinions.
