I am an active user of the French Wikipedia since 2006. I became a sysop recently.
In real life, I am doing a PhD in Information and Communication sciences (a kind of French counterpart to media studies). My doctoral thesis bears upon the introduction of the Stock Exchange section in the daily press (something that vaguely occurs between the beginning of the XVIIIth century and the midst of the XIXth). I am also working for a research project on database journalism.
Even though I haven't time to get involved in Wikidata, I am really fond of this project. During the past years, I tried a bit to inform the French Wikipedian community of its ongoing development.
