User:Charles Matthews/Wikisource integration

This page gives a systematic way in which Wikisource pages can be integrated into Wikidata. The working assumption is of an article on a Wikisource in some language, about topic T. It should have a corresponding Wikidata item A, and T should have a Wikidata item B. Then we want A to link to B by means of a main subject (P921) statement. We also want, reciprocally, to link back to A, with an described by source (P1343) statement. The Quest tool at https://quest.toolforge.org/ can be set up to do that in the standard way, with a qualifier statement that goes back from B to A.

The A to B links can be made with the Topicmatcher tool at https://topicmatcher.toolforge.org/. The table below is for those two kinds of links, of which the topical links logically come first.
