I'm a computer engineer and quite new to wikidata and the SPARQL world in general. I discovered it when clicking on the little Q thing on the maplinks on Wikipedia.
My current understanding is pretty basic:
- There is data on wikidata
- Use SPARQL to query it
- Copy/paste/tweak examples and let the magic happen
- When spotting missing information (official website so far), add it.
- Show stuff on a map
