autopatroller flag

Hello, Akkakk! I am just letting you know that I have added the autopatroller flag to your account, as you are a trusted user on Wikidata. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me or leave a message at the project chat. Thanks, — PinkAmpers&(Je vous invite à me parler) 04:10, 28 February 2013 (UTC)

/iw page

Instead of using it as transclusion of some sort, it would be more useful only to link to pages in the archive. I want to avoid excessive transclusion if possible scattered in the archives. I think User:Akkakk/iw#Qnumber would be sufficient. --Izno (talk) 00:14, 11 April 2013 (UTC)

Question

Property_talk:P132#Type_of_administrative_division_.3D_village_.3F

Q11651459 vs Q4167410

Hallo Akkakk!

--Akkakk (talk) 09:40, 28 April 2013 (UTC)
Voilà. Du musst nur noch akzeptieren. Grüße, Vogone talk 13:26, 28 April 2013 (UTC)

User:Akkakk/Terminator

Can you please generate analogous page for russian labels? Infovarius (talk) 09:00, 13 May 2013 (UTC)

i didn't create the list, it's just a backup of http://toolserver.org/~magnus/wd_terminator.php?list&lang=en. ask User:Magnus Manske for new languages --Akkakk 09:37, 13 May 2013 (UTC)
Thank you for the information. Infovarius (talk) 16:26, 13 May 2013 (UTC)

Danrok and Rollback

Hello Akkakk, you recently gave Danrok rollback permissions. I would like to point out you may have missed something. 10 before Danrok had requested rollback he had participated in an edit war over property usage. Though appears good faith this does lead me to believe the user will use the tool for general vandalism and to get an advantage if such a situation came along again. John F. Lewis (talk) 12:35, 31 May 2013 (UTC)

"user will use the tool for general vandalism" and how have you come to that conclusion? It's not a good idea to defame other people without very clear evidence. All the evidence, my contributions, and good standing, to wikimedia over the last 7+ years are evidence which stands against your flimsy allegations. Danrok (talk) 13:36, 31 May 2013 (UTC)
Apologies. The way you perceived me to defame you was not at all intended and is most likely a mix up with another situation I was dealing with elsewhere. John F. Lewis (talk) 03:01, 1 June 2013 (UTC)
  • It's been my belief that those who engage in edit wars should not have rollback, but I wouldn't oppose giving back the rollback a week or three after this, provided there's no more edit warring.--Jasper Deng (talk) 04:09, 1 June 2013 (UTC)
I agree with that Jasper. John F. Lewis (talk) 10:38, 1 June 2013 (UTC)

Bitte schau dir doch mal Wikidata:Labels and descriptions task force/de#Amtliche Schreibung an.

--Akkakk 23:39, 7 June 2013 (UTC)

Hi Akkakk
Could you write a format constraint for IMA status (Property:P484)?
Following should be valid: IMA 1974-013, IMA 2005-061a, IMA 1985-xxx, IMA 1978-E and IMA 1973 s.p.
Summary: IMA then space then year numbers from 1960 to 2NNN then up to five symbols.
Thx. --Chris.urs-o (talk) 07:41, 8 June 2013 (UTC)
Thx. You forgot IMA 2005-061a, IMA number and a consecutive letter (redefined and approved). Is it possible, as well ? Thx. --Chris.urs-o (talk) 14:38, 8 June 2013 (UTC)
i didn't forget it, it's in the "-\d\d\d[a-z]?" part --Akkakk 16:02, 8 June 2013 (UTC)
Ok, thx, let's see the report on monday. --Chris.urs-o (talk) 18:40, 8 June 2013 (UTC)

Bezeichnungen im Bereich Chemie

Hallo Akkakk.

--Leyo 13:08, 20 June 2013 (UTC)

Fehlermeldung

Hallo. Ist es eigentlich möglich, die Fehlermeldung "ATTENTION: We are currently experiencing technical difficulties, causing properties and items to appear deleted in statements. They are not, and there is no lost data; please hang on while this is repaired." in der Sprache des Benutzers erscheinen zu lassen oder wird so etwas grundsätzlich nicht übersetzt?--84.161.158.176 14:48, 21 June 2013 (UTC)

--Akkakk 16:02, 21 June 2013 (UTC)

Property:P106 labels

Could you please explained here the reason behind these edits? I don't see the need to disambiguate nor any discussion about those changes. Regards, Andreasm háblame / just talk to me 02:46, 2 July 2013 (UTC)

some people just use wikidata (as intended by the 'wiki' part), but don't read the meta pages first. so some properties are used wrong, only because some users don't know what they are for. i hoped the (person) could help them to see that they're using it wrong. (see User:Akkakk/issues#ic-107-215627-101 for examples)--Akkakk 08:47, 2 July 2013 (UTC)

Pages about Wikipedia projects on the Finnish Wikipedia

Hi, please don't delete fi-wiki links which are about different Wikipedia language versions, like you did here. I know that the namespace is not the same, but we have chosed to place those pages in to Wikipedia namespace. However, now we have discussion on fi-wiki if we will move those articles to article namespace. --Stryn (talk) 16:56, 3 July 2013 (UTC)

Labels of follows (P155) and followed by (P156)

Hi Akkakk. I have noticed that you have changed the English and German labels of follows (P155) and followed by (P156). Is there any discussion regarding these changes to restrict the properties to creative works, and if so, may you please point me to it? The restriction to creative work is quite significant, since it is also used widely to describe successive/preceding public office holders. Thanks. --Wylve (talk) 07:43, 8 July 2013 (UTC)

it is stated in the documentation on the talk page. i don't know where it was discussed, but if it was expanded to non-work-items that should be changed in both places (documentation and labels/descriptions) --Akkakk 10:57, 8 July 2013 (UTC)

"Size in Volumes"

Hey Akkakk. Mind explaining http://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Q13099644&action=history? You don't seem to have added the link anywhere. Thanks. — PinkAmpers&(Je vous invite à me parler) 01:15, 11 July 2013 (UTC)

it is a link to a template, the other links go to wikipedia-pages --Akkakk 12:00, 11 July 2013 (UTC)
So? Has there been a consensus that all of an item's links need to be in the same namespace? I've seen several items where some of the links point to project pages, but other links point to userpages... including this item, in fact, where the ru.wp and vi.wp links are to userpages. — PinkAmpers&(Je vous invite à me parler) 08:48, 12 July 2013 (UTC)
i haven't seen a policy that prohibits that, but it makes sense not to mix up different namespaces in one item or interwiki links - especially if one is a template and the other is not. (is there a consensus that links in an item may link to different namespaces? ;)) i will stop doing such changes, except for fixing conflicts between items, until there has been more discussion on this somewhere. --Akkakk 22:23, 12 July 2013 (UTC)
