Welcome to Wikidata, Bunyk!

Wikidata is a free knowledge base that you can edit! It can be read and edited by humans and machines alike and you can go to any item page now and add to this ever-growing database!

Need some help getting started? Here are some pages you can familiarize yourself with:

Adding redirect sitelinks

Hi! I just want to let you know that you no longer need to do such changes in two edits – if you add the appropriate badge (intentional sitelink to redirect (Q70894304)) in the same edit as you add the sitelink, you can now add the sitelink without having to break the redirect (see Wikidata:Sitelinks to redirects). —Tacsipacsi (talk) 09:13, 7 January 2023 (UTC)

Hello! Thank you for the tip. It seems to work on the wikidata entity page, but when I'm on wiki redirect page and use "Edit links" in "Languages" section on the left, it let's me search for articles in other languages, but then refuses to link (probably because there UI does not have a checkbox for redirect). Maybe I need to report this usecase somewhere. Also, I see you added that flag for one of such sitelinks, but there is a whole catoegory for such redirects: en:Category:Wikidata redirects (also in ukrainian uk:Категорія:Вікідані:Перенаправлення Вікіпедії), maybe there is a bot that could do that for all pages from this category? --Bunyk (talk) 10:16, 7 January 2023 (UTC)

There’s already a task about making the sidebar workflow work: phab:T324419.

I actually didn’t add the badge, I just changed it. The original badge (sitelink to redirect (Q70893996)) was added by MsynBot, maybe it could be improved to add intentional sitelink to redirect (Q70894304) instead to such sitelinks? —Tacsipacsi (talk) 01:25, 8 January 2023 (UTC)
