Louis Janoir edit

Bonne continuation… genium ⟨✉⟩ 18:18, 22 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Ah merci, genium , quelle bonne surprise!--DDupard (talk) 05:29, 23 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Identifiant BnF edit

Bonjour,

VIAFs edit

Hi. To note that VIAFs are particular, in that if they belong to an individual entity, so that is where they are attached. They would not also be attached to another entity like a duo, as that should have its own VIAF identifier.  — billinghurst sDrewth 05:59, 5 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Repurposing items edit

Please don't repurpose items like you did with Auguste Laurent Boulard (Q19758492). An item for the father Auguste Boulard (Q19758490) had already existed, just got erroneously merged in 2016. But if an item is missing simply create a new one with Special:NewItem, don't repurpose existing items, please. Thank you! --Marsupium (talk) 21:31, 13 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Ok Marsupium, sorry, thanks.--DDupard (talk) 08:22, 14 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for your response! Happy editing! --Marsupium (talk) 08:23, 14 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Alessandro Capalti (Q55461050) edit

Hello, I have merged the above item into Alessandro Capalti (Q19832243) as you have suggested them to be describing the same subject in the deletion request. If you can find more items like this in the future, you can try to merge the item. I would definitely recommend using the gadget (see Help:Merge#Gadget). Cheers, Lakokat 14:15, 12 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Merging edit

Hallo DDupard,
When you merge items, you may want to use the merge.js gadget from help page about merging. It helps with merging, gives the option to always keep the lower number (which is older, so preferable in most cases) and removes the need to file a request on Wikidata:Requests for deletions.

JAR & Joel Arthur Rosenthal edit

You seem to have mixed up a company (JAR (Q3156858)) and the founder of this company (Joel Arthur Rosenthal (Q29982239)). I restored both items to the previous situation. Multichill (talk) 17:32, 1 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

It's fine with me, but as already mentioned, both are the same : a one man show, with no advertising budget ; hardly a brick and mortar location, rarely opened, except to a few select and by appointment only. Happy New Year to all.--DDupard (talk) 18:13, 1 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Category items edit

I just saw your revert at [1]. The bot's working correctly there, see the discussion at Wikidata:Requests for permissions/Bot/Pi bot 6. In general, consensus here is that the commons category sitelink should be on the category item if one exists, not the topic item (but if there is no category item then it's fine to be in the topic item instead). Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 14:12, 11 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Mike Peel, Thanks for the message Bot is wrong: it affects Reasonator => blank ; unless you merge 'Topic's main category' with 'Main Topic' . Thanks for looking into it. And please let me know. Cheers'--DDupard (talk) 14:19, 11 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
Mike Peel. What it does is link Q item: Topic main category to Reasonator instead of Q item: main Topic. Please stop the Bot.--DDupard (talk) 14:44, 11 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
Is this in the Commons infobox, or elsewhere? In commons:Category:Roberto Minczuk, which is a similar case to the one you reverted, that does link to [2] rather than [3]. That's a bug, and I'll fix that in the infobox code shortly. If you're getting the link to Reasonator from somewhere else, please let me know where so that I can investigate. Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 15:06, 11 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
Yes that's it Mike Peel, thank you for checking. --DDupard (talk) 15:43, 11 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
OK, I found the bug, it's a bit of old code. I've updated it in the sandbox version of the infobox, and added that temporarily to commons:Category:Roberto Minczuk. Does that work as you expect it to? I'll deploy the updated code in the infobox soon, probably this weekend. Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 16:22, 11 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
Mike Peel seems to be OK, (I do not understand coding). Have a great WE. ;).--DDupard (talk) 08:02, 12 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
The change is now live. Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 18:51, 23 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
Mike Peel, Now there is another problem, the common's category is no longer linked to wikidata. Please fix bot or stop it. Reasonator seems to have lost associated media see Pablo Picasso [4] --05:51, 25 April 2019 (UTC)

Fusion erronée edit

Bonjour,

Aimée Duvivier (Q36910134) (une personne) et Duvivier, Aimée (Q104056879) (un document) sont bien deux concepts différents et il ne faut donc surtout pas fusionner ces deux éléments.

Cdlt, VIGNERON (talk) 16:08, 8 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Call for participation in a task-based online experiment edit

Dear DDupard,

I hope you are doing good,

I am Kholoud, a researcher at King's College London, and I work on a project as part of my PhD research, in which I have developed a personalised recommender system that suggests Wikidata items for the editors based on their past edits. I am collaborating on this project with Elena Simperl and Miaojing Shi.

I am inviting you to a task-based study that will ask you to provide your judgments about the relevance of the items suggested by our system based on your previous edits. Participation is completely voluntary, and your cooperation will enable us to evaluate the accuracy of the recommender system in suggesting relevant items to you. We will analyse the results anonymised, and they will be published to a research venue.

The study will start in late February 2022, and it should take no more than 30 minutes. If you agree to participate in this study, please either contact me at kholoud.alghamdi@kcl.ac.uk or use this form https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSees9WzFXR0Vl3mHLkZCaByeFHRrBy51kBca53euq9nt3XWog/viewform?usp=sf_link

I will contact you with the link to start the study.

For more information about the study, please read this post: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/User:Kholoudsaa

In case you have further questions or require more information, don't hesitate to contact me through my mentioned email.

Thank you for considering taking part in this research.
