  • Lexicographical data: We're continuing with the work on the new Special:NewLexeme page. We worked on saving a valid new Lexeme with the new page. We are now focusing on the suggesters for language and lexical category so editors can select the right Item for them.
  • Data Reuse Days: We ran sessions on how to use Wikidata's data programmatically and the best practices around it. Slides and videos are available already (see above).
  • REST API: Continuing coding on the basic version of the GET Item endpoint. We have the very initial version of the get item endpoint ready and are now adding more parameters to it.

  • Data Reuse Days: Second and final week - organized, attended and held a few sessions incl. bug triage hour and pink pony session
  • REST API: Continuing work on getting the the data of an Item, we almost have filtering of the data returned by the API and basic error handling is in place. Next up: not returning the data if the client already has the most recent data, and authentication

  • Made use of the new fields added in the wbsearchentities API and added language information to the markup of entity searches that you see when editing a statement or searching with the little searchbox at the top of the page on Wikidata. Now these search results should make a bit more sense to people who use screen readers.

Un autre ajout de ta main, moi qui croyais que c'était impossible d'en ajouter à Gatineau. Tu en as aussi ajouté en Ontario (200 de plus en deux ans si j'ai bien calculé), en Colombie-Britannique et pour le Canada (800 de plus en deux ans si j'ai bien calculé). Pas certain qu'on aura complété la couverture du Canada avant 2051, pour le cinquantième anniversaire de Wikipédia...

J'ai hâte de repartir sur la route, soit l'Est du Québec, soit la région d'Ottawa-Gatineau.

WikiProject CGNDB?

Since you have noticed some of my recent edits, I thought I would let you know what I was doing. I have embarked on a project to put every single five-letter key in the Canadian Geographical Names Database—nearly 360,000 of them—into Wikidata. I am already nearly 17 percent through all the entries in the CGNDB for Newfoundland and Labrador, but I figured this would go a lot faster if other people were to help out.

Églises

Bonjour Fralambert, je ne comprends pas ces modifications [3]. Je croyais que nous mettions l'élément le plus précis possible. Par exemple, sur Gaspésie National Park (Q2051988), on ne dit pas nature = aire protégée, mais nature = parc national du Québec. Si on ne va pas au plus précis, pour les églises, je pensais même qu'il faudrait plutôt mettre nature = bâtiment et utilisation = église catholique, car cela arrive qu'une église ne soit plus utilisée comme église, mais le bâtiment reste, de la même façon que l'on fait pour les êtres humains, on ne met pas nature = politicien, mais plutôt nature = être humain et occupation = policitien. Catholic church building (Q1088552) m'énerve un peu cas elle tend à mélanger deux notions différentes, soit le lieu de culte et la religion qui est pratiquée. Aussi souvent le monde à tendance à y oublier la religion. Pour ce qui est de church building (Q16970), j'ai moins de problème, qu'elle sont orthodoxe, protestante ou catholique, ces dernières on tendance à conserver la même typologie architecturale, même si elle est désacralisée, elle reste une église, comme l'Ancienne église méthodiste wesleyenne à Trois-Rivières, qui n'est plus utilisé au culte depuis 1925. C'est plus son usage qui change. On pourrait mettre ça tout à bâtiment, mais il faudrait lancer une RfC sur le sujet, ou du moins avoir un consensus des projets. Alors pourquoi utiliser nature = cathédrale ? Pour moi, cela signifie que l'on va au plus précis possible. Une cathédrale c'est simplement un usage différent d'une église. Souvent, surtout pour les plus vieux bâtiments, une église est construite comme église paroissiale et devient une cathédrale plus tard, et perd parfois le statut de cathédrale plus tard pour redevenir une simple église paroissiale. Pour moi, la "nature" est un bâtiment et tout ça "église", "cathédrale", etc. (catholique ou pas) ne sont que des usages. Ça règlerait des problèmes d'utiliser nature = bâtiment pour tous les bâtiments. Amqui (talk) 12:30, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
