Welcome to Wikidata, FriedrickMILBarbarossa!

Wikidata is a free knowledge base that you can edit! It can be read and edited by humans and machines alike and you can go to any item page now and add to this ever-growing database!

Need some help getting started? Here are some pages you can familiarize yourself with:

  • Introduction – An introduction to the project.
  • Wikidata tours – Interactive tutorials to show you how Wikidata works.
  • Community portal – The portal for community members.
  • User options – including the 'Babel' extension, to set your language preferences.
  • Contents – The main help page for editing and using the site.
  • Project chat – Discussions about the project.
  • Tools – A collection of user-developed tools to allow for easier completion of some tasks.

Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask on Project chat. If you want to try out editing, you can use the sandbox to try. Once again, welcome, and I hope you quickly feel comfortable here, and become an active editor for Wikidata.

Best regards!

Delete reason edit

Hello, when you mark some pages for deletion, could you give some other reason than "empty". Because of course page is empty, if you have emptied it. Could you give a link to the item, where you have merged item? Thanks. --Stryn (talk) 07:22, 17 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

  Support this, too. --Ricordisamoa 12:42, 17 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Babel edit

Babel lets you view and edit more than one language on Wikidata. Just add e.g. {{#babel:de-N|en-3|es-1|fr-2|nl-3|it-4|da-0}} to your user page. With the same language codes you can add links to your userpage on Wikipedia e.g. de:User:User123. --Tobias1984 (talk) 14:43, 25 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Merging items edit

Hallo Friedrick,

When you are merging items, please use the Merge.js gadget. It helps you nominating, gives the option to always keep the lower number (which is older, so preferable) and makes it a lot easier for the admins to process the requests.

With regards,

some help tools edit

HiFriedrickMILBarbarossa! You may add some help tools to user:FriedrickMILBarbarossa/common.js . Please see User:Rotsaert8000 (in Esperanto), Wikidata:Tools, and Wikidata:Tools/User scripts. On the user:i18n-page you will see all WD gadget links. It takes time to see what fits most of your interests. Good luck gangLeri לערי ריינהארט (talk) 15:54, 23 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Wikinews interwiki edit

Please, do not move wikinews interwiki from objects to categories. Thank you! -- Vlsergey (talk) 12:49, 6 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

When you mergeing edit

Yesterday, RFC was passed that only use redirects for merged items. So now on please do redirect instead to request it into RFD.--DangSunM (talk) 15:45, 4 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

+1, and please redirect the newer item (i.e. the higher-numbered item). Jianhui67 talkcontribs 17:38, 27 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hello.

Could you create the article en:Azerbaijani cuisine, just like the article sr:Јерменска кухиња which you uploaded, in Serbian?

Thank you.
