Need some help getting started? Here are some pages you can familiarize yourself with:

  • Introduction – An introduction to the project.
  • Wikidata tours – Interactive tutorials to show you how Wikidata works.
  • Community portal – The portal for community members.
  • User options – including the 'Babel' extension, to set your language preferences.
  • Contents – The main help page for editing and using the site.

  • Tools – A collection of user-developed tools to allow for easier completion of some tasks.

Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask on Project chat. If you want to try out editing, you can use the sandbox to try. Once again, welcome, and I hope you quickly feel comfortable here, and become an active editor for Wikidata.

Best regards!

Wikisource statistics edit

Hi! I have seen your message at Tpt's page and the situation on Wikisource has been moving slowly because of several technical limitations - mainly the lack of an metadata edition interface from the project itself, and the imposibility to access information from unconnected items, necessary to comply with our work/edition metadata division. About the first issue there have been interesting developments recently (like these), and the second is still under development (see Bugzilla47930). So far what is working well are author pages. You can check how many non-author pages from frwikisource are connected to Wikidata using Autolist: query example.--Micru (talk) 21:07, 12 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Labels and descriptions edit

Hi HLHJ! Whilst I came here to tell you that I've merged Q18927248 (which you'd just created) to geological map (Q193842) as a duplicate, after seeing some of your recent contributions, I wanted to let you know about labels and descriptions. Both should "begin with a lowercase letter except for when uppercase is normally required or expected". Descriptions, too, "are not full sentences, and should not end in periods/full stops". If you need any help with whatever you have planned, please feel free to ask! Greetings. Jared Preston (talk) 18:39, 1 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
