February 2022 edit

Hello, I'm Bovlb. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions to Q106914680 because it didn't appear constructive. Feel free to use the sandbox for test edits. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks!  Bovlb (talk) 20:40, 25 February 2022 (UTC) --Bovlb (talk) 20:40, 25 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your work in maintaining Wikidata. I have a small suggestion to improve your future work. If you notice that two items are duplicates, please merge them instead of blanking one of them as you did with the item Q106914680. External sites use Wikidata identifiers, so it is important that we preserve the chain of references. We do this by making one item a redirect for the other. In particular, item ids are intended to be a permanent identifier, so we never reuse them for another concept. See Help:Merge for more information on how to merge items, and consider installing the Merge Gadget. Thanks!  Bovlb (talk) 20:42, 25 February 2022 (UTC) --Bovlb (talk) 20:42, 25 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thank you so much for this precision. I was looking for how to merge two items or delete an item on Wikidata, but unfortunately I couldn't find it. Thanks for that helpful link you just gave me on merging items on Wikidata. I want to document myself much more. IrakozeM (talk) 21:08, 25 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Recreation of deleted item edit

I have deleted Q116450303 because it appears to be a recreation of deleted item Q113174367 . This means that we have already made a decision that this entity does not satisfy our notability criteria. Please do not recreate deleted items, as they are likely to be deleted again immediately, and your account may be blocked. To appeal this decision, see Wikidata:Guide to requests for undeletion.
