about merge

Hi, Kareyac. Thanks for your contributions. When you remove links from an item and add them to anther item, if the removal leaves one item without any link (e.g. your edit on Q16397553 and edit on Q13426237), then please consider directly merging the items, not deleting and adding the same link. @Runner1928:Hi! Thanks for invitation. It's very interesting point. I know something about relations between educational organizations in my country, but small in the others. May be it's more suitable/useful for wikiedirors in some countries/tool owners to determine those relations as company/subsidiary. But for me part of/has part seems to me more logical too. Question Abou armenian wiki

In armenian wiki exist hy:Յորդանան and hy:Հորդանան. I thinked that are the same thing so I added a merge template (here and here) but someone have rollback my edit. There is some particolar reason to keep 2 separate page? (and also 2 item Q21201896 and Q810). Another example is Q21508706 and Lithuania (Q37) --ValterVB (talk) 09:16, 12 December 2015 (UTC)

Reusing items

You did it many times, for example with Q22138670, Q21777958 and Q4805841. Please, fix these items (and any other items where you have done the same) by rollbacking your edits and merging them to the correct one. Merging

Hello Kareyac,
When you merge items, you may want to use the merge.js gadget from help page about merging. It helps with merging, nominating, gives the option to always keep the lower number (which is older, so preferable in most cases) and makes it a lot easier for the admins to process the requests.

Hi Kareyac, on this report, we got some entries from hywiki. They are based on year of death categories there. I checked one and it hasn't been edited recently, but displays birth date as death date. It might be that this or some related edit mixes-up birth and death years. Can you help?

Your recent edits concerning Volapuk

Why do you add info about being Volapuk speakers to people who died before Volapuk was established? Eg. Q106711, Q1067, etc.

What source did you base information that Q109067 was speaking Volapuk?

If that source is not reliable, I would suggest revert all those edits, exept Johann Martin Schleyer (Q12712). These items are clear labeled, in one case no link to enwiki, and the other one is Q571. No film at all, not even in the articles. -- MovieFex (talk) 09:56, 28 January 2017 (UTC)

@MovieFex: 1. Q1199587 mistakely took data from Tanner (Q18604472), I"ll report to tool holder. 2. The Last September (Q1199395) in enWP has "Infobox film", that misleads the tool, I"ll reduce using enWP as a source. P18 for people items

Hi, note that not images from iboxes are not suitable to be used as image (P18) in people items. There are more specific properties for images not showing the person, like coat of arms image (P94) or image of grave (P1442), so it is much better to add them to the specific properties and not as image (P18).--Jklamo (talk) 08:28, 21 February 2017 (UTC)

Local images to Wikidata

When pushing images to Wikidata images, please be careful to not push local images. For instance, this change pushed File:Dimov.jpg, which represents Leonid Dimov on ru.wp, but a footballer on Commons. Hey Kareyac, when you import native labels from Wikipedias, please use the values with native label (P1705) instead of name in native language (P1559) for all non-human entities according to the definition of both properties.
