Be more careful with your lowercase word edits! edit

This edit is the second one of yours like this which I've had to undo. When you are lowercasing labels in Wikidata, you need to make sure they are not proper names like this. ArthurPSmith (talk) 20:27, 25 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for the feedback ArthurPSmith, I will try to avoid this mistake as much as I can. Kinvidia (talk) 18:58, 30 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Please be more carefull edit

Pleae make sure that you edits do not inappropriately change the meaning of existing items, like they did in the case of Johannes Moller (Q1415067). Please note that I've reverted a number of your changes.--Hjart (talk) 06:18, 27 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

You've made a significant number of similar bad changes, so I really think all of your edits to existing items should be reverted.--Hjart (talk) 06:39, 27 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
I have just reverted you here[1] as you conflated an organisation with its predecessor. We have separate items as they are separate organisations with different legal status and ownership. Whatever method you are using to prepare these batches, please fix it. From Hill To Shore (talk) 08:09, 27 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
Here is another one.[2] If there is an existing description, you should not be using an automated tool to overwrite it. If the existing description was blank then inserting "publisher" would be an improvement. Replacing an existing description with a single word will almost always be a bad choice. From Hill To Shore (talk) 08:53, 27 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thank you Hjart and From Hill To Shore I am working with a huge database with stipulated descriptions for items that I try to use. As it turns out, some of these descriptions significantly change the meaning of these items. I will try to go through already existing items from henceforth to ensure this does not occur again. Thank you once again. Kinvidia (talk) 19:09, 30 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Please use batch, not interactive, mode in Quickstatements edit

Your edits have been running as "temporary" batches in Quickstatements, which means the edits cannot be checked in a group after the fact either in Quickstatements or in the EditGroups tool. Since you are doing so many edits with quite different purposes, you need to start using the background mode in Quickstatements. That is, after importing your commands, instead of hitting "Run", hit "Run in Background". It is helpful also to add a descriptive label to your batch before you load it. Well noted ArthurPSmith. Kinvidia (talk) 19:12, 30 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Engage with discussions in your talk page when using QuickStatements edit

@Kinvidia: please engage with users on your talk page when using QuickStatements. It's a powerful tool and as such it's especially important to engage when other users see issues with the edits you create with it. ChristianKl13:32, 30 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Sorry about that ChristianKl, every time I tried to respond with my computer, I was told my IP address had been blocked.Kinvidia (talk) 18:57, 30 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Adding DOI (P356) to items from the University of Ghana Digital Collections (UGSpace) ID (P8602) edit

Would you please add the DOI (P356) to items from the University of Ghana Digital Collections (UGSpace) ID (P8602)? As you might already know, DOI (P356) is a much more commonly used identifier and is likely to help avoid item duplication when adding articles with tools that search for exiting items with DOI (P356). As an added benefit, if you add the DOI (P356) to the articles, I'm you'll see authors being associated with the articles, based on their ORCID. DOI (P356) seems to exist in the University of Ghana Digital Collections (UGSpace) ID (P8602) as dc.identifier.other I don't have access to the database so I'm unable to do this, but I suspect it shouldn't be too difficult. Please let me know if you need assistance. Trilotat (talk) 14:25, 10 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thanks Trilotat, I will try to do that. Kinvidia (talk) 18:05, 10 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
