language in etymology edit
Hi! Out of curiosity, why are you adding language of work or name (P407) to derived from lexeme (P5191) (like in semi- (L36305))? The language is already described by target lexeme. KaMan (talk) 15:29, 9 November 2018 (UTC)
- Yeah, good point. I kind of like being able to see the language immediately without having to click the lexeme, but I suppose it is unnecessary. I have the same issue with translation (P5972), it would be nice if even just the language code was displayed automatically. Liamjamesperritt (talk) 18:36, 9 November 2018 (UTC)
- I think it's better to request to developers that language of lexeme should be exposed rather than duplicate language information. You risk that in the future somebody will change language of the lexeme and your language of work or name (P407) would be misleading then. KaMan (talk) 05:57, 10 November 2018 (UTC)
