Need some help getting started? Here are some pages you can familiarize yourself with:

  • Introduction – An introduction to the project.
  • Wikidata tours – Interactive tutorials to show you how Wikidata works.
  • Community portal – The portal for community members.
  • User options – including the 'Babel' extension, to set your language preferences.
  • Contents – The main help page for editing and using the site.

Best regards! --Tobias1984 (talk) 19:26, 7 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Babel edit

Babel lets you view and edit more than one language on Wikidata. Just add e.g. {{#babel:de-N|en-3|es-1|fr-2|nl-3|it-4|da-0}} to your user page. With the same language codes you can add links to your userpage on Wikipedia e.g. de:User:User123. --Tobias1984 (talk) 19:26, 7 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Country edit

Please, don't revert my editions. I explained you why you should not put the country that. This is a data base, if you put the city, you can create a query to know the country, you don't need put all the information. If you have any questions, please write to me. Thanks. --Vanbasten 23 (talk) 08:01, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Rules? All databases work the same way. The idea is that you don't repeat data that you can get otherwise. If you can access the country data through the city, then you don't have to put the country, because you duplicate the information so that the server has more data and is not efficient. Please reverse your editions and don't put back that an edition that explains your failure is vandalism. Thank you. --Vanbasten 23 (talk) 08:10, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
