I know it's not very nice to ask for such things, but could you create this property? Then I could at least import data from Wikipedias to Wikidata, while I have flooder flag. Q722234 is a merge of the list article and article on the position of President of the Generalitat of Catalonia. Q722234 in Spanish, Catalan, Galician is on the position, as well as many alias and interwikis. The easiest way was to stablish Q722234 as the position and Q16933549 on the list. I have seen your edits at many pages about WMF projects and want to let you know that the number of Wikidata:Database reports/WMF projects has increased to more then 409; there are pages from Wikibook project pages to Wikiversity and Wiktionary project pages. Hoi User:Ymblanter, mag ik wel hopen want deze zit in de dataset die ik in het kader van Wikidata:Flemish art collections, Wikidata and Linked Open Data heb gekregen. Great to see your bot at work. There was a little bit of a problem dealing with Peter Alma see Q17896898. An extra /8 was added. Also if it as meant to scrape data from the whole Amsterdam Museum database, it picked up two but missed the other five. Missing painters Amsterdam Museum 'create them' tool not working?

Hi Maarten,

Afgelopen week ben ik -vol enthousiasme uiteraard- begonnen aan de missing painters, en achter de 'create them' tool op de pagina van het Amsterdam Museum zit volgens mij een tool die niet werkt: http://tools.wmflabs.org/multichill/painters/index.php?name=name%20of%20painter

Sandra heeft me inmiddels e.e.a. uitgelegd m.b.t. schilders toevoegen, dus ik kan vooruit, maar ik dacht: 'je wil dit vast wel weten!' en bovendien ben ik benieuwd hoe het werkt!

Hoi Mtmlan84, je moet "name of painter" wel vervangen door een naam van een schilder, bijvoorbeeld J.C. Manuel. De leercurve is wellicht wat steil en Amsterdam Museum is extra lastig omdat daar de links stuk zijn, die moeten nog gemaakt worden. Hoe items precies in te richten staat op Wikidata:WikiProject Visual arts/Item structure. Daar staat ook hoe met anonieme werken om te gaan. Het maker stuk is nog incompleet. new items based on RDK based on VIAF based on ...

Perhaps the [history of Q22236056] is instructive: The RKD number does not exist any more and the VIAF number had been wrongly assigned by MU.ZEE (the film directoor *1933 is not the artist *1948). My general impression is that VIAF identifications are performed extremely casually by the individual museums and specifically RKD is in the process of massive weeding of all the artists "in bewerking" - if nothing is known besides the name and a speculative nationality and the artist is not "core" by some criteria (furthermost nationality I presume, especially artists from Belgium have been massively deleted recently) then they remove the entry. Could there be a way to avoid creation of new items for the very sparse and questinalble assignments? -- Gymel (talk) 10:40, 26 January 2016 (UTC)
