Lange Ladedauer von HarvestTemplates-Listen nach Klick auf "Load"

M2k~dewiki (talkcontribs)

Hallo Pasleim,

M2k~dewiki (talkcontribs)

Hallo Pasleim, vielen Dank!

Besteht die Möglichkeit des Importes von geographischen Koordinaten beispielsweise aus de:Vorlage:Coordinate oder diversen Infoboxen mit HarvestTemplates (oder anderen Programmen)?

"based on" as a means of exclusion for merge candidate

Summary by Billinghurst

Billinghurst (talkcontribs)

Hi. I am seeing this suggestion for merge

  1. Q59291518 (s:en:Ben Bolt) and Q104179259 (en:Ben Bolt)

the enWP article/item has a "based on (P144)" reference to the poem (enWS versions page). Would it be possible to have an exclusion from a merge suggestion when that "based on" relationship is in place. I have just added the inverse relationship of "derivative work" though would prefer that the maintenance requirement should be second priority to merge candidates.

If "derivative work (P4969)" could be similarly treated if present would also be great for the reverse.

Thanks for the consideration.

I implemented it.

Statistics page is no longer updated

It's showing the bot is updating the India statistics page. But only the time is getting updated in that page but not the values from the last April. Can you pls check that.

Hi! I'd like to ask you about a few things related to Harvest Templates, which I've been happily using for years:

  1. After the move to Toolforge, I haven't been able to do perform sucessfully any HT runs with P131. Is it working correctly?
  2. Would it be possible to set the tool only to scan WD element from a certain range of Q numbers, for example starting with Q80000000 and scanning everything created later? It would save me a lot of time, as I could scan only the latest wiki articles.
  3. Can you see any chance at all for the tool to understand ISO codes of countries when scanning for P17 or P27, such as POL for Poland, GBR for Britain etc.?

Cheers. ~~~~

Pasleim (talkcontribs)

Hi Powerek38,

  1. To perform runs on strongly used propertes, e.g. P31, P17, P131, has always been a challenge. The migration has not changed this. To make it easier to perform such runs, you can deactivate the checkbox "do not load items with property set".
  2. The latest wiki articles are not necessarily connected to a high Q number on Wikidata. That's why the tool sorts the elements according to the last edit on Wikipedia. If you perform the same run twice, you can stop the second run as soon as you see an article which wasn't changed since the first run.
  3. That requires some major changes to the code. I will check what is possible.

Please be careful of gendered language. I just changed "businessman" to "businesswoman" in the description on this page relating to a woman Q2419519 but if you are going to run a bot that covers descriptions for men and women you should use neutral terms like businessperson, don't you think? Thanks. ~~~

Edoderoo (talkcontribs)

I don't think ''businessperson'' is an existing word in English right now. If it's only a usuallity to use the word for activistic groups, then it's too early to be used on Wikimedia.

DrThneed (talkcontribs)

Well that was just a suggestion, but it certainly isn't correct to use businessman for a woman so you need to find something else.

I imported this description from English Wikipedia where it was stored in the persondata template .

However, this import took place over five years ago and I have not imported more descriptions from English Wikipedia since then.

DrThneed (talkcontribs)

I see - thanks for the clarification about where it came from. It's not the only time I have seen male language applied to women in descriptions, I wonder if they all came from this import.

Hallo! Deine interessante Statistik „Connectivity“ wird leider nicht mehr aktualisiert. Siehst Du eine Chance sie wieder zum laufen zu bringen?––~~~~

Hello, I can't find the property for the Korean National library [http://viaf.org/viaf/partnerpages/KRNLK.html see viaf info]. Does it existe in WP, sould it be created ? I found the P4760, but it's not the same. Thanks,

  1. I've normally never seen problems about transfering KRNLK-ID from VIAF into Wikidata. Have you seen a serious change as for that?
  2. Might be another case of the fact that original korean scripture will produce some difficulties for our translating into western languages?
FERNANDES Gilbert (talkcontribs)

I was looking for the WP Propertie for KRNLK-ID . And I did not found it. Thanks your andswer, I got it ! [Property:P5034]. Thank you !

Justus Nussbaum (talkcontribs)

The 'National Library of Korea ID' is P5034. In English also known as

  • NLK ID
  • KAC ID

As I just checked it is fully functional /working. But alas: it points to contents in korean language only. Example given: [http://www.nl.go.kr/authorities/KAC199626381#n Steinbeck, John - KAC199626381].

Hope it helps nevertheless. Best wishes!

FERNANDES Gilbert (talkcontribs)

Yes, it's OK for me. Thanks.

with https://pltools.toolforge.org/harvesttemplates/?siteid=nl&project=wikipedia&namespace=0&p=P264&template=Infobox%20single&parameters=Label&depth=1&constraints=Q21503250%7CQ21510865%7CQ25796498%7CQ21503247%7CQ52004125%7CQ53869507&alreadyset=1&wikisyntax=1 it is even more obvious something is going wrong.

done (3399/3399, successes: 1481, errors: 1918) is the outcome and the log is cut off at 1223633,Agitated Screams of Maggots,Q4386094,[[Free-Will

Pasleim (talkcontribs)

This is problem is related to hashtags in the value.

I applied a fix such that you can download the whole log file but instead hashtags are displayed wrong.

Harvest Templates: Comma's not escaped in log

Mbch331 (talkcontribs)

One in the lines in the log was: 1932215,A million in one, two, three,Q2366525,Dream Express,Q637447,success,success This can't be parsed by Excel since Excel thinks two and three are separate columns. The correct syntax should have been 1932215,"A million in one, two, three",Q2366525,Dream Express,Q637447,success,success

The quotes tell spreadsheets that A million in one, two, three is one column instead of three.

Pasleim (talkcontribs)

Thanks for reporting. I fixed it .
