Jurisdiction / Competence edit

Hello,

I have not done what you're accusing me. If you look at the history of mental competence, you'll realize that I have never edited it. What I have done is to link jurisdição-jurisdiction-Rechstprechung and, in another wikidata, competência-competence-Zuständigkeit. You - together with the person that confused "mental competence" and "competence (law)" - are confusing the law concept of competence (zuständigkeit, which is not Jurisdiction, but competence) with that of jurisdiction (Rechtsprechung in German). It's easy if you go to the latin origin: Juris dictio, to say the law (Recht Sprechen). Just go to the wikipedia article in english and you'll see that it's the definition in wikidata that's incorrect.

You should do a better job investigating what has happened before name-calling or accusing others of vandalism, Discount stamp club. When you don't understand something - like Recht, which appears to be the case - it's better to study first. That is, always check if it's not you that are misunderstanding. Remember that the wiki can be edited by anyone and that its information was different when I have edited it (there was not a definition of "mental competence" when I have edited it, for example).

If you go to the competence (law) article, you'll see an warning that it does not show a global view of the subject. It appears that in US law, competence is used to describe what we call "capacity" (capacidade) here in Brazil and Portugal. I don't kown the name of this law concept in German. --Hlges (talk) 15:35, 24 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
It appears that the concept in German is "Rechtsfähigkeit". Hope this helps you understand what is wrong with the english wikipedia. --Hlges (talk) 15:43, 24 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Hlges: Bom dia, German is my mother language and you are right, that I've wrongly linked de:Zuständigkeit to jurisdiction (Q471855). I'm sorry! I've got confused by [1], which made the German linkage wrong. Kind regards--Rabattmarkenverein (talk) 16:29, 24 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
