Dato che al momento della creazione dell'elemento dalla pagina della RFC non era chiaro (e lo continua a non essere) quale consenso sia emerso avevo deciso di creare un elemento contenente una pagina utente non pensando che un admin dovesse perdere tempo a cancellarla. Descrizioni per voci del Botswana

Visto che hai fatto inserire le voci sul Botswana, chiedo a te. Per inserire in automatico le descrizioni, se aggiungo su tutte le voci della it:Categoria:Località del Botswana che hanno il template it:Template:Divisione amministrativa la descrizione località beciuana va bene? (per gli omonimi vedrò in un secondo momento). In questi casi come devo operare? Ipotesi:

1. rimuovo l'interlink es dall'item in oggetto

2. richiedo la cancellazione dell'item in oggetto (ha ormai un solo interlink)

3. aggiungo l'interlink es all'item disambigua

GND: Name or undifferentiated

Hi Sannita, I've seen that you've added GND and VIAF identifiers like "Montessori, Maria‏ (undifferentiated)" or "Name: Montessori, Maria". These are just placeholders for a name, not a single person. Hello again. Thanks for leaving a note at my talk page. The basics about GND: en:Integrated Authority File. More infos you can find on German Wikipedia: de:Hilfe:GND#Wichtige Unterschiede bei GND-Datensätzen. The existence of undifferentiated GNDs (contradictory: "identifiers" that are no identifiers) has historical reasons. The idea back in the 1990s was: We create name files (Tn) and change them later into "real" authority files (Tp). That did work for one database (PND) with one library (DNB), but GND includes several databases and is used by multiple institutions. RE: Varie

Per quanto rigurda le RfP dei bot che hanno già il flag è indubbio che non funziona, sopratutto se parliamo di attività bene o male già approvate come l'inserimento di proprietà approvate o l'estensione di lavori fatti da altri bot. Purtroppo le linee guida per questi casi non sono molto chiare. Attività di questo tipo dovrebbero essere chiuse al massimo in 36/48 ore, diverso il caso per avere il flag, ma questo è chiarito meglio. Qualche discussione la trovi qui.

Per quanto riguarda le divisioni amministrative, sono un po' più di "parzialmente interessato" :) sto cercando di creare tutte le "gerarchie" degli stati (1, 2 e 1) inserendo tutte le proprietà necessarie. Il problema è che non sempre le suddivisioni sono così lineari, molte volte ci sono delle sovrapposizioni che al momento non si è ancora capito bene come gestire (vedi anche Wikidata talk:Country subdivision task force). Comunque anche su questo sono d'accordo, anche perché bisogna cominciare a pensare a quando questi dati saranno effettivamente utilizzati negli infobox, e se non si fa chiarezza adesso c'è il rischio di avere dei dati poco utilizzabili. E allora ne approfitto subito :) le frazioni dei comuni italiani sono da intendersi come divisioni amministrative? Leggendo it:Frazione geografica sembrerebbe di sì, e quindi sarebbero da classificare con subclass of (P279)=administrative territorial entity (Q56061) e legare ai comuni con located in the administrative territorial entity (P131) e contains the administrative territorial entity (P150), mentre invece per le località (Q3835961) si userebbe solo located in the administrative territorial entity (P131). Nel frattempo ho creato fourth-level administrative division (Q14757767), inserito subclass of (P279) e create le gerarchie mediante contains the administrative territorial entity (P150) come suggerrivi. --ValterVB (talk) 10:59, 31 August 2013 (UTC)

WD:Notability/Inclusion criteria - Wikidata pages on individual TV episodes

I'm afraid I do not have a citation in support of my edit to Wikidata:Notability/Inclusion criteria.

I added this as it is a consequence of item 3. of the Notability criteria - items that fulfill a structural need. Separate items for each episode of a TV series, each with details of that episode, will provide the data for various lists in wikipedia and this cannot be done another way.

If you feel additional justification is needed for this edit then I suppose you should start a discussion on the talk page or undo my change.

NTA identifier linkification

Dear Sannita, Thanks again for the creation of Portuguese National Library author ID (P1005) and Nationale Thesaurus voor Auteursnamen ID (P1006).
I have written Property talk:P1006#NTA after I have added the identifier to dozens of pages. Please see that we used a link to works and not to authority control records. This might be an advantage for the WMF project visitors but some librarians may want to see the authority records. Is it possible to generate two links one labeled AC and the other labeled works? I think Northwest Highlands (Q15077761) is a duplicate of Northwest (Q823946). That would make Category:Northwest Highlands (Q15522503) a duplicate of Category:Northwest Region (Cameroon) (Q7426231). Can you check? Multichill (talk) 21:03, 2 January 2014 (UTC)

I already checked, and if I'm not mistaken the Northwest Highlands (in a Wikivoyage perspective) are made up by Northwest Region, Southwest Region and the upper half of the Western region. I also spoke with a it.voy admin, who told me that 'voyage uses a different criteria for defining regions. @Candalua: In Q6293548‎ e Wikimedia main page (Q5296) ci sono tutti i progetti, compresi quelli chiusi (anche quelli di Wikipedia, per intenderci). Omografia anyone?

Ciao! Q397799: vecchio problema. "Circolazione" collegata a Circulation, Circulación, Circulação... il che porta a lasciarsi condurre per famiglie linguistiche (in questo caso ovviamente le lingue romanze) o per concetti (peschiamo cioè "Koloběh" dal significato o referente). Non ricordo se le linee guida sugli interlink tra parole strettamente omografe sia stata poi accettata su wData o meno. --Pequod76 (talk) 16:00, 11 February 2014 (UTC)

@Ricordisamoa: Nei progetti che ti ho indicato "user" va sostituito con la parola indicata. Una patch o diverse... boh, dipende da te, fai come ritieni più opportuno. IMHO, visto che si tratta sempre dello stesso argomento, direi tutto in una volta. Piuttosto, ci vorrebbe qualcuno che poi passi (in quei progetti) a cancellare le categorie già esistenti. Ancora sulle disamb in traduzione

Mi ritrovo ancora a fare edit del genere. Ma su wdata non si è ancora sviluppato un dibattito sul tema? A me pare evidente che si dovrebbe fare come ho fatto. Se it.wiki ha una disamb "Singularity", perché mai en.wiki dovrebbe collegarsi a una disamb "Singolarità"? E se, ipotizziamo, nel mondo ci fossero tre imprese enciclopediche chiamate "Singolarità" ed enW aprisse ad una disamb con questo nome italiano, non sarebbe logico collegare alla disamb di it.wiki "Singolarità"? Scusa se ti rompo periodicamente sul tema: ritengo che bisogna affrontare su wdata il tema di petto, giungere all'unica conclusione possibile e poi fare un festival per correggere tutti i collegamenti errati (non devono essere pochi). --Pequod76 (talk) 01:54, 6 December 2014 (UTC)

Ho svuotato il primo, spostando i dati di it.wiki nel secondo. Ora vedo dalla discussione poco sopra che in caso di fusione non si cancella più, ma si trasforma in redirect, ma... come si fa??? @Formica rufa: Se vai nelle preferenze, metti la spunta al primo gadget, "Merge". Ti apparirà un piccolo tab in alto, "Unisci con...": ogni volta che devi fare un'unione, semplicemente usa quello. Basta inserire l'id dell'item nel primo riquadro e poi selezionare tutte le opzioni (tanto il redirect avviene in automatico), dopodiché clicca su "Unisci" e hai fatto. ;) --Sannita - not just another it.wiki sysop 22:32, 6 May 2015 (UTC)

Hi Sannita,

On my watchlist, I had the following message: "deleted page Q13178332 (Does not meet the notability policy: nap.wiki sitelink is about to be deleted because is a duplicate of another article)".

There are two issues with this:

• items for duplicates should be re-directed, not deleted. This ensure stability of external links.
• items should not be (deleted or) redirected prior to the item on the wiki being redirected. This ensures that someone wont create another duplicate item.

@Blackcat: In realtà, potrebbe rientrare nel terzo criterio ("It fulfills some structural need"). In realtà, non inserire una informazione del tipo "è sposato con Marica Pellegrinelli (Q21075642)" potrebbe equivalere per il database a "non è più sposato", che in realtà non è vero. In più, vedo che ci sono dei riferimenti a db esterni, quindi è altamente difficile che sia cancellata, anche tramite procedura. --Sannita - not just another it.wiki sysop 19:44, 19 January 2016 (UTC)
