Motivation edit

This would help understand better the advertising world, which agency was responsible for XYZ campaigns at a given time (eg. the Fossil fuel campaigns…). A similar property on PR agencies could help Wikipedia better understand sponsored editing. Teolemon (talk) 09:33, 11 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion edit

  •   Comment This will be changing a lot over time. So I would be more comfortable if the property was mostly intended for items about ads and ad campaigns instead. At the very least, there should be two examples like that and only one suggesting use on items for companies might be OK. Thierry Caro (talk) 20:26, 11 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I was thinking of using date modifiers, but start dates and end dates is likely going to be hard. Even the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_Inc._advertising article is kind of disappointing. Restricting to ads in a first phase would make more sense, indeed. Teolemon (talk) 07:53, 4 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
So should the examples be modified, or is it acceptable to use this property directly in subjects like Apple (Q312)? Midleading (talk) 09:27, 8 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
As no answer came, I'll oppose for now.   Oppose. Thierry Caro (talk) 17:33, 20 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
