Motivation

According to EThOS' owner, the British library:

EThOS is the UK’s national thesis service which aims to maximise the visibility and availability of the UK’s doctoral research theses.

and currently holds details of 475k theses. Where available, EThOS includes links of the full text of the thesis, the DOI, the institution, the supervisor, and the author's ORCID iD, thus allowing us to cross-reference items. The University of Oxford, for example, are already uploading details of their students' theses to Wikidata.

Question I'd suggest that this also be used from the item about the author, since most authors only have one or two theses. For example Stephen Hawking (Q17714): EThOS thesis ID = uk.bl.ethos.601153. --99of9 (talk) 23:44, 9 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
