- Motivation
European Union for Bird Ringing (Q3060810) uses these UIDs to identify bird species and subspecies, during bird ringing (Q319436).
Note: The formatter URL shown above is for one Euring partner, British Trust for Ornithology (Q2925763). Others Formatter URLs be available, but Euring appears to have none itself. The BTO drops the leading zero(s) used by Euring. Constructive comments on how to handle this would be appreciated.
