Motivation edit
Have I Been Pwned? is a website that aggregates data breaches and allows consumers to search for breaches which include their username/email address. It is useful both as an external link to provide to Wikipedia readers and also as a data source, thanks to their detailed metadata for breaches and their convenient API. Discussion edit
CommentSupport This looks like an interesting website and I think we should add it. I am a bit uncomfortable with the identifier just being an anchor in a big HTML table but they seem to consider this a stable ID and they have the json API which I think makes this worthwhile. There are issues with companies appearing multiple times in the list such as "#AdultFriendFinder" and "#AdultFriendFinder2016". --Hannes Röst (talk) 16:07, 5 August 2020 (UTC)- @Hannes Röst: Yeah I also found the use of anchors a bit weird. He does have links to each anchor which are labeled as "Permalinks", which suggests that they're intended to be pretty stable. And as for the repeated companies, I don't think that'll be an issue as long as we add these properties to data breach (Q1172486) items (rather than to organization (Q43229) items). There are already a lot of data breach items, as it seems that someone imported w:List of data breaches to Wikidata at some point. –IagoQnsi (talk) 01:13, 7 August 2020 (UTC)
