Motivation edit

Indian Railways (Q819425) issues numerical identifiers for its train services, usually one for each direction of travel. (The examples above are directions of the Agniveena Express (Q18109414) and Howrah Malda Town Intercity Express (via Rampurhat) (Q17055390) respectively.) This property is meant to hold older train numbers (qualified with start time (P580)/end time (P582) as appropriate) and the current five-digit numbers in use, since unlike with census codes there is greater continuity between the old and new train numbering schemes.
