- Motivation
Serious French newspaper, international distribution. Subject pages offer a quick summary, link to all articles, maps, books and journal. Tubezlob (🙋) 17:06, 3 February 2017 (UTC)

- Comment. Si l'URL préformatée s'arrêtait à
index/
- @Pigsonthewing: In English: There are two types of identifiers: subject (
index/sujet/
) and countries (index/pays/
). So should we have justindex/
or create an other properties for countries? Tubezlob (🙋) 17:39, 4 February 2017 (UTC)- Une seule propriété ici. La division entre pays et sujets est ténue. On peut considérer les deux comme un même tout : l'index thématique du Monde diplomatique. Thierry Caro (talk) 17:42, 4 February 2017 (UTC)
- How many of each type are there? Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 17:59, 4 February 2017 (UTC)
- @Pigsonthewing: Just two. I agree with Thierry Caro, the difference between countries and subject in this case is low. Tubezlob (🙋) 18:16, 4 February 2017 (UTC)
- No, not "how many types"; how many of each type: how many "sujet" and how many "pays"? Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 18:36, 4 February 2017 (UTC)
- @Pigsonthewing: Sorry. There are: 376 sujet and 305 pays, in total 681. Tubezlob (🙋) 19:10, 4 February 2017 (UTC)
- Such a division would perhaps be useful if it allowed us to have specific rules regarding either of the two new properties. We could have a constraint requiring items using the 'pays' one to be about a country, for instance, but then we have to realize that the 'pays' list of Le Monde diplomatique includes such places as the Azores (Q25263), which are not countries, making the constraint a bit less pure and the overall idea less attractive. One poperty is enough, in my opinion. Thierry Caro (talk) 07:27, 5 February 2017 (UTC)
- I changed the proposal, it's makes more sense. Tubezlob (🙋) 20:26, 6 February 2017 (UTC)
