Comprehensive database on ancient philosophers whose texts or fragments have been edited, covering a lot of not-so-well-known figures. Each has a small note and links to his/her works on the same database. It is backed by the French CNRS, so it should be of good quality. It could nicely complement CIRIS author ID (P8065).
This property proposal covers only the ancient authors, but there are also three others catalogues for 2) ancient texts, 3) modern authors (proposed here) and 4) bibliographic references ; each of these could be a separate property in the future. Jahl de Vautban (talk) 11:20, 11 March 2022 (UTC)
Discussion edit
- Support, as proposer --Jahl de Vautban (talk) 11:20, 11 March 2022 (UTC)
- Support splendid database, I honestly didn't know it; I would suggest proposing also modern authors, while we can wait a bit for ancient texts. --Epìdosis 11:23, 11 March 2022 (UTC)
- Support, looks like high-quality data. --Tolanor (talk) 12:08, 11 March 2022 (UTC)
- Support Seems good to have.*Treker (talk) 15:04, 11 March 2022 (UTC)
- Support Seems a good resource, particularly since the more ambitious Dictionnaire des philosophes antiques (Brepolis) looks locked behind a serious paywall... JBradyK (ToposText) (talk) 17:21, 11 March 2022 (UTC)
- Support as per above: Looks useful to me. DerHexer (talk) 16:38, 16 March 2022 (UTC)
