- Motivation
The STW is maintained and published by ZBW ZBW - Leibniz Information Centre for Economics (Q317179) under an open license. ZBW also publishes mappings to DBpedia and other vocabularies. The outdated DBpedia mapping would better be based on Wikidata, where it can be updated by ZBW staff as well as by others. On the STW site, the mapping is used to display links to the German and English Wikipedia. For Wikidata, links to STW could add value 1) by linking to the subject specific structure and category system of STW, and 2) by further links on the descriptor pages to the EconBiz (EB) portal for economics literature, which particularly provides access to topic-specific open access publications. Support I think wikidata is an excellent place to encourage interlinking of thesauri and other controlled vocabularies, let's get more of these in.
