Motivation

Since 2000, the Short Title Catalogus Vlaanderen (STCV) project is developing a retrospective bibliography of publications from Flanders before 1801. The bibliographical descriptions in STCV are based on a thorough method for analytical bibliography, in which each edition are described based on actual copies held in libraries in Flanders and beyond. It follows a well-established bibliographical method (detailed in an online manual.
