- Motivation
National Fruit Collection (Q41015695) includes "over 3,500 named Apple, Pear, Plum, Cherry, Bush fruit, Vine and Cob Nut cultivars". The collection is owned by the United Kingdom government's Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and is "part of an international programme to protect plant genetic resources for the future". - A sport (Q1567764) is not a cultivar (Q4886). --Succu (talk) 21:36, 3 October 2017 (UTC)
- Well, it's an instance of apple cultivar (Q15731356) according to, er, you. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 21:43, 3 October 2017 (UTC)
- Mind to rephrase your proposal? Why should we have wired links to this little website? --Succu (talk) 21:52, 3 October 2017 (UTC)
- Probably because of its international importance. [1]. --Tagishsimon (talk) 22:00, 3 October 2017 (UTC)
- Probably you can relate this to more well grounded references, Tagishsimon. --Succu (talk) 22:10, 3 October 2017 (UTC)
- Yes, probably; after all, what would a leading fruit-grower from the Royal Horticultural Society know about this sort of stuff; and what reliance can we place on the Torygraph these days? I tell you, Succu, the world's going to pot. --Tagishsimon (talk) 22:41, 3 October 2017 (UTC)

- You appear to change the subject. The example given is a cultivar, according to you. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 22:08, 3 October 2017 (UTC)

- Support I note that the website is mentioned in several research papers (https://scholar.google.nl/scholar?hl=en&as_sdt=0,5&q=nationalfruitcollection.org.uk, e.g. Giving fruit a nutritional boost (Q41580284)) and biodiversity is of clear interest to society. --Egon Willighagen (talk) 05:50, 4 October 2017 (UTC)
- Support As Egon said above. --Magnus Manske (talk) 07:38, 4 October 2017 (UTC)
- Support I agree with both Egon and Magnus. It makes sense to have this as a property --Andrawaag (talk) 13:14, 4 October 2017 (UTC)
Done @Pigsonthewing, Succu, Tagishsimon, Egon Willighagen, Magnus Manske, Andrawaag: Created as UK National Fruit Collection ID (P4288). Enjoy! --99of9 (talk) 11:09, 6 October 2017 (UTC)
