Motivation edit

Notified participants of WikiProject Switzerland A clearly defined ID that helps to cover the items of bibliometry in Switzerland, where the networks of archives of local universities (primarly funded by cantons) are partially fragmented probably due to language barriers and a not perfect federal coordination. As a result, many databases of smaller institutions lack sufficient quality to be integrated on Wikidata as IDs, but luckily this is not the case.

It's a useful support in the framework of this project (all items of Swiss researchers active in the scientific fields will be created asap) and this project (since many Italians work or have worked at the University of Geneva, their items will be created within the next 12-24 months).

In addition to that, it's also a useful reference for affiliation (P1416)--Alessandro Marchetti (WMCH) (talk) 18:45, 7 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
