Motivation edit

A companion proposal to Wikidata:Property proposal/latest start date, in this case to give the earliest date on which a statement might no longer be true.

For use with statements that take start time (P580)/end time (P582) qualifiers, to indicate the earliest possible end date. In such cases earliest date (P1319) is needed to indicate the earliest possible date for the truth of the statement.

This proposed property would allow us to record that the end date for the statement was "between X-date and Y-date". The latest possible end date would be given by latest date (P1326). Jheald (talk) 21:16, 10 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
