Motivation edit
For example Wikidata:Property_proposal/J-GLOBAL_ID contains multiple different types of entries using the same ID scheme. Microsoft Academic now uses a new URL scheme (though the old one still works currently); if the old scheme no longer work we will be able to migrate data to new properties easily using this qualifier.

Comment Practise so far has typically been to use subject has role (P2868) for this -- for example, here are current external classifications recoorded with Gazetteer for Scotland place ID (P7350): https://w.wiki/Efn I believe that this is the existing qualifier been used for this purpose on a number of properties. Is there a reason that it is to be disapproved of, or not suffcient? Jheald (talk) 20:14, 30 December 2019 (UTC)

- The property broader concept (P4900) is also available as a qualifier for identifiers in thesaurus-type hierarchical identifier databases, and could be used for this. Jheald (talk) 20:28, 30 December 2019 (UTC)
