•  Support for item datatype instead a Commons file. As artwork, film posters have properties like publication date (P577), designed by (P287), depicts (P180)... (see Metropolis film poster (Q21151973)). --Escudero (talk) 17:55, 23 November 2016 (UTC)
  • compared to the number of files on Commons, the number of items seems fairly rare. Couldn't we add the qualifier "subject of" to link the item when available?

Not sure. BTW Is Q21151973 about a specific print of the poster, the original or the poster of the film in general? The item seems to combine elements of the three.
