- Comment needed for w:Template:Infobox_lighthouse. @Susannaanas: this might work better than made from material (P186)
--- Jura 15:30, 13 June 2016 (UTC) - Comment I know there are at least foundation and structure, whose material are described in templates. What if there are more? /Susannaanas (talk) 15:44, 13 June 2016 (UTC)
- If made from material (P186) is used without qualifiers, it would apply to the structure beyond the foundation. If it has qualifiers, to whatever the qualifiers states.

- I think I would prefer made from material (P186) qualified with "applies to part". --Izno (talk) 16:16, 13 June 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose as presented. The example given does not match the list of (presumed) values in the
|source=
parameter of the proposal template. The former suggest that "has part=foundation" qualified, with, say, "material used=granite block" would suffice. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 18:59, 13 June 2016 (UTC) - Oppose I don't see a need for a more specific property than made from material (P186) qualified with applies to part (P518). - Comment For buildings, I recommend using the has part(s) (P527) property, as seen in Heath House (Q15223442). So, you would claim has part(s) (P527) = pile foundation (Q3102562), as an example. If the foundation type doesn't have an item, simply create it using references. Danrok (talk) 08:38, 14 July 2016 (UTC)
- Sounds like a workable solution. The alternatives suggested don't actually seem to be used. If still created, this property would be sub-property of P527.

@Jura1, Susannaanas, Izno, Pigsonthewing, Danrok: Not done, no consensus. Use made from material (P186) with applies to part (P518) as qualifier for now. --Srittau (talk) 18:30, 7 August 2016 (UTC)
