Motivation edit

Same as key:ref in OpenStreetMap (Q936). Generic identifier property where one does not exist; if used as qualifier it would be the only logical or possible identifier in that situation, such as a track number in a track listing (in many cases series ordinal (P1545) doesn't work because not all the identifiers are integers, or the integer has to be combined with something else). This would be like how station code (P296) is used as a generic identifier and then migrated to more specific properties when desired. Jc86035 (talk) 13:41, 12 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
