Motivation

In Wikidata:Project_chat#Brexit_in_Wikidata, it is found not easy to query current members of EU. In addition, it will be possible to receive all members in only one item, where Lua can't handle inverse property relationships, and it is expensive to access a large number of items.

•  Oppose Not yet another inverse property which nobody will take care of, please. If inverse lookups are needed for Lua then one should rather demand an extension of the Scribunto-library in Phabricator.   • Especially problematic are organisations with many members. From my experience there are little organisations with hundreds of memberships, however there are certainly organisations with more than hundreds of members. The UI of Wikibase is already quite sluggish for countries. Now imagine trying to edit Städte- und Gemeindetag Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (Q1292296) with its over ~750 members. --Nw520 (talk) 21:41, 4 January 2021 (UTC)
