Data type | Item |
Domain | organisations |
Example | bar association (Q1865205) → lawyer (Q40348) |
- Motivation
As far as I know we currently lack a way to specify that bar association (Q1865205) is full of lawyers. The same goes for similar organizations. ChristianKl (talk) 16:41, 7 March 2017 (UTC)

- I see no good reason why this should be done via of (P642). of (P642) isn't easily queried. It's also very near to natural language and the word of (P642) can mean multiple different things. Different meanings also translate into different words in other languages. ChristianKl (talk) 17:02, 9 May 2017 (UTC)
- there is a problem with your example though as according to wikidata policy all humans are instance of (and only instance of) human (Q5). So they wouldn't belong to the class "lawyer" at all. Do you have a different example in another domain? Or perhaps if that is the intent then "class" is the wrong word here? "Members have occupation" perhaps? ArthurPSmith (talk) 18:06, 9 May 2017 (UTC)
- @ArthurPSmith: You are right. I changed it to "members have occupation". ChristianKl (talk) 09:32, 10 May 2017 (UTC)
- Ok, I think with the present sense I Support this proposal, it seems to fill a gap. ArthurPSmith (talk) 12:52, 10 May 2017 (UTC)
