Motivation edit
When I created Château Arthur-Osmore-Norton (Q99647013), I realised there is no properties about the number of rooms of a building. Could be a good complement to floors above ground (P1101). Fralambert (talk) 21:34, 26 September 2020 (UTC)

Discussion edit
- Support This property is absolutely useful for structuring data correctly and especially for being able to have the perception of the size of a building. Baidax (talk) 22:07, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
- Comment In addition to the number of rooms, many sources also provide the number of windows and the number of doors, especially for castles. It would therefore be logical to proceed with the request of these other properties to complete the set. These are a different and will require more specific treatment; they remain distinct from the proposal here. Baidax (talk) 22:13, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
- Support useful basic information with no other simple way to model it. Cheers, VIGNERON (talk) 11:40, 27 September 2020 (UTC)

- Question Why not use has part(s) of the class (P2670)=room (Q180516) with qualifier quantity (P1114)=<N>? Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 19:04, 28 September 2020 (UTC)
- @Mike Peel: It seem complex, at least for the description. Should it be more a property who use room (Q180516) as a unit? --Fralambert (talk) 01:57, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
- @Mike Peel: I'm the first to prefer using existing proerties and qualifiers rather than creating properties but here it's seems a bit strange. I thought about solutions like volume as quantity (P2234)'X'room (Q180516) (quantity (P1114) is a bit better than volume as quantity (P2234)) but it doesn't seem right, your suggestion seems less akward but still a bit strange and too convoluted. - Oppose I think Mike Peel's solution is fine. --Tinker Bell ★ ♥ 02:19, 5 October 2020 (UTC)
