This proposed property is for official color(s) of an item, like a sports team, a school, or some other organization where using color (P462) would be confusing or misleading. For example, the official colors of North Carolina (Q1454) are red (Q3142) and blue (Q1088), but North Carolina is not literally colored red and blue.
