Motivation edit
A scaled-down and more realizable version of Wikidata:Property proposal/provides data. Note this only applies to some sites; many others does not use HTML microdata (e.g. PubMed ID (P698), PubChem CID (P662), VIAF ID (P214)) and is not applicable. GZWDer (talk) 23:51, 29 November 2020 (UTC)
Discussion edit
- Oppose provides HTML microdata, Support itemprop: I would do Q<Catholic Hierarchy person ID>supported metadata (P8203)date of birth (Q2389905)
P<method used>Microdata (Q3312185), and date of birth (Q2389905)P<itemprop>birthDate. --Tinker Bell ★ ♥ 22:15, 30 November 2020 (UTC) - Note for an itemprop in general, it can usually be expressed via equivalent property (P1628)=https://schema.org/property_name. However, this property will specify the flavor that a specific websites used. In addition, supported metadata (P8203) does not link to a Wikidata property.--GZWDer (talk) 05:05, 1 December 2020 (UTC)
