Planned useenter the 2020 capacity payments for coal-fired power stations in Turkey

Motivation edit

I am documenting all the coal-fired power stations in Turkey and wish to record their annual capacity payments from https://www.teias.gov.tr/tr-TR/kapasite-mekanizmasi-odeme-listeleri. I realise that there is already a property feed-in tariff (P6826) but the description of that includes "where a renewable power station gets paid for the amount of power they generate". In contrast the capacity payments I wish to record are not limited to renewables, and as well as a payment per unit of power they also include a payment per megawatt of installed capacity. However I merely wish to record the annual total payment for each power station, which will be different each year.

Previously I have added the amounts directly into Wikipedia. But that is not convenient because the same amount should go in several Wikipedia articles - example 2 above ought to go in to the following:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_power_stations_in_Turkey

https://tr.wikipedia.org/wiki/T%C3%BCrkiye%27deki_enerji_santralleri_listesi

https://tr.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%87atala%C4%9Fz%C4%B1_Termik_Santrali

https://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catalagzi_kullkraftverk

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%87atala%C4%9Fz%C4%B1_power_station

As you can see in https://tr.wikipedia.org/wiki/T%C3%BCrkiye%27deki_enerji_santralleri_listesi many other values (such as the amount generated in 2019 and 2020) are being extracted from Wikidata so I would like to do the same for the subsidy payments.

Discussion edit

  •   Comment The intent is to use this as a qualifier on a particular year's power production, not as a standalone statement? Of course the concept of "subsidy" can be applied to many different things, so I think a generic qualifier like this would make sense too. ArthurPSmith (talk) 21:37, 3 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
If I understand right I do in fact need to use it as a standalone statement. Because it is not strictly a "qualifier on a particular year's power production". Pedantically I would say that my usage is a payment re the power plant by year rather just than the power production by year - if I understand right that is one way in which what I am documenting is different from a feed-in tariff (P6826). Although part of the payment is for the annual energy output (P4131) for the particular year part of it is for the nominal power capacity (P2109). Although the formula is public these amounts are not published separately, so in order to properly cite my entries and make less of them I just want to enter a sum of money for a power plant for a year. From my point of view I don't really care whether the property is generic or specific so long as I can document different amounts of money for different years. So feel free to suggest amendments to the proposal if that would make it more useful for others. Chidgk1 (talk) 07:03, 4 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@ArthurPSmith: Yes exactly you got it. Chidgk1 (talk) 06:36, 5 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
