- Motivation
Following a discussion on Wikidata:Project Chat, it had been suggested that a new property can be created for handling the increasing and highly changing values of software versions. Refer https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:Project_chat#Datatype_of_software_version_(P348). The name 'tabular software version' was chosen after considering the name tabular population (P4179) chosen for representing population (P1082).(Add your motivation for this property here.) Support David (talk) 18:59, 2 December 2017 (UTC)- Support however can you post a tabular file in Commons that actually works as the sort of example you are arguing for here? One problem with tabular format is the data model for the table itself isn't set, so it's good with the property proposal to have a concrete table format that can be used as an example by others using this property in future.
