Motivation

Using https://twitter.com/statuses/<tweet ID> instead of https://twitter.com/<username>/status/<tweet ID> makes the links username-independent. Having a property for status IDs lets us manage data quality, store these links in a more concise way, quickly query how many tweets are linked from Wikidata and from which entities, avoid URL parameters and centralize the pattern Wikidata uses for tweets so that we can easily update it in the future if needed. I think it's okay to use this property for both references and main claims, although we can expect a very low number of uses for the latter. abián 10:50, 22 September 2018 (UTC)
