Discussion edit

@Lewis Hulbert: Yeah, I see what you mean. However, it is not clear to me how Wikidata External ID redirector (Q108047563) actually works here. This tool is mainly used for properties (example) that have to deal with URL encoding that leads to broken links. If it is used instead of the main formatter URL, it will help redirect to the desired ones. In our case, however, I don't see how it can help us here. By the way, I tried the currently proposed formatter URL on sandbox property, but as I expected it doesn't work. Regards Kirilloparma (talk) 04:11, 23 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I think they would need to add it to the service after the property is created, since it needs to know the PID. -wd-Ryan (Talk/Edits) 15:19, 23 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I apologize, I overlooked this comment. As I understand it, Lewis Hulbert here means that as soon as this property is created he will write a request to the creator of this tool to get the current formatter URL working (just like it was with Gamepedia). If that's the case, then I have no further objections. Regards Kirilloparma (talk) 23:46, 23 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
My bad for not replying sooner, now we've got an ID for this property the pull request has been created and should work as soon as it's merged. (@ArthurPSmith: also pinging here in case you don't get GitHub notifications) -- Lewis Hulbert (talk) 04:27, 24 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
